Dynamo Artist and Curators Talk is a program curated by Anne Brand Galvez

Stéphane Blumer develops a research in visual arts and social science. His work has been visible both in solo and group exhibitions in museums and contemporary arts centres, alternative spaces, galleries and art fairs, as in workshops, public lectures and academic or associative seminars. Moving from abstract topics to strongly empirical ones, language, its shortcomings and censorship are subject matter that he continually addresses. Whether it is digital or reclaimed, the material that he appropriates has always a strong cultural load, which generate original narratives while maintaining historical depth and an in situ character related to the specific contexts in which he exhibits.
Recent location include : Halle Nord, Geneva (2018), Musée d'Art du Valais, Sion (2017), Zaratan Arte Contemporânea, Lisbon (2016), Appleton Square Gallery, Lisbon (2015), European Graduate School, Saas-Fee (2015), CACY Centre d'Art Contemporain d'Yverdon-les-Bains (2015), The Nomadic Center for Contemporary Art, Zurich (2015), Institute For Provocation (IFP), Beijing, (2014).

Stéphane Blumer teaches Sociology at the Université Paris Nanterre. He earned a BA in Visual Arts at the HEAD, Geneva, and a MFA at Goldsmiths College, University London. Since 2015, he is a fellow PhD in Social Anthropology at the EHESS - School of Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences in Paris. His thesis investigates the problems around the notion of social innovation by carrying out a multi-sited fieldwork analysis within intentional communities that blend social activism, hacking culture and art practices in Europe.
